A local shop has a CZ 75 in .40. one 10 rd mag, no box or papers, he is loooking for $350. Price seems OK, Gun seems in fine shape, but I know nothing about CZ pistols. Are the mags hard to get or expensive? Is there anything in particular to look for? I am somewhat carefull about used guns, it seems lately I am buying someone elses problem gun..

I have two CZs that I'm very pleased with- a 97 and 52. Mags should not be hared to get at all. They are manufactured by Meggar.

These guys can be of a lot of help.
As far as prices go, I live in San Francisco, where nothing is real anyway- I simply couldn't tell you.

For myself, I've never met a CZ I didn't like!:D

CZs are solid pistols..I have two now..and find them reliable and accurate..

On the forums..some CZs seem to have some issues and they seem most to be spring related..if you are aware of it..it is easy to fix..replacement springs can be purchased from Wolffe.

Magazines are easily found..CZ-USA, MidwayUSA, Ghostholster.com, MiossiGunWorks all stock mags.
MecGar is the OEM for CZ..so they are good mags..normal retail for CZ mags is about $30-$35, MecGar mags can be found for about $15-$20.

Stainless Steel FLGR can be purchased through JackAshCustom.

I don't have any experience with the .40, but you may want to check on that price. Back in the fall I paid a little less than that for a new 9mm.

As for the gun, if the .40 is anything like the 9, I think you will be very pleased. the CZ is a quality pistol, and they can be foound at very good prices.
