For the carry ammo question, you'll probably get as many answers as there are choices, but I prefer the 124gr Speer Gold Dot.

I use hornaday xtp's in all the calibers that i use as carry and or home defense weapons. I buy off line from,

also know that wal-mart is a great place to get most pistol calibers at a good price, plus you don't have to pay for shipping. That is where i get my .40 and 9mm if I don't have reloads availble.

Why do people like ammoman? Always seems to have the worst prices online.

He seems to be falling in popularity on other gun boards. His prices are high but people like the fact that shipping costs are built in so there are no nasty surprises at the end. I never purchased from him because even with shipping built into his prices they are often steep.

Tuesday I bought all the local Wal Mart's 9mm Win White box at $4.63 a box (50). They only had 17 boxes.
