Can anyone recommend sites to buy Bushmasters online? Local dealer in central Ohio has A3M4's for $899 plus tax; can they be found less expensively at online dealers? Thank you.

Bud's Gun Shop (oftentimes the bottom line as far as prices) has them for $869 - after shipping and FFL transfer almost certainly more expensive than your local price.

They're in the low $900 to $1000 range on Gunsamerica.com.

I'd buy local. Seems to be a good price.

Except on some used guns,I've found that I can't save much buying from dealers over the internet. And if you plan on being a regular customer it's probably good to stay local anyway, otherwise I might not have a local shop at all!

BTW that seems like a pretty fair price on the Bushmaster to begin with.

You may be right, however, one neat feature of the gunbroker search engine is you can look back in time and view concluded auctions. I searched back 30 days and found 2 auctions for this $839 gun with no buyers.

Judging from the ad content, I think the seller would prefer to sell the gun direct, thus avoiding gunbroker selling fees. Lots of sellers do this. If I was in the market for this rifle, I'd call and make a cash offer direct. I bet he'd sell right now. .:)

Bachman Pawn in Dallas usually has good prices. I couldn't find a website for them, but they do business on GunsAmerica and Auction Arms and the like.

I think that you'll find it difficult to find a good deal on those rifles right now. They seem to be popular. Add in the cost of shipping and FFL transfer fees and your local shop can probably come close.

Have you asked your local dealer if he is willing to negotiate? Have you picked out all the supplies that you will need, such as extra magazines, ammo, case, and cleaning gear, along with the rifle? You might try going to the counter in your local store with all of the supplies you want, along with the rifle, then have the sales person calculate the total pre-tax bill then offer 10% to 15% lower than the total for the whole package.
