buying low price guns (addiction)

I happen to like lower-priced good value stuff too.

It sort of scratches the itch - and then you find yourself with storage space issues. So it doesn't really help as much as you think it might. And then most of it doesn't hardly end up being worthy of taking out of the safe for a shooting trip.

Don't be surprised if you start rolling 4 or 5 of those "lower priced" guns into something nice that you really do want. I've heard of that happening a time or two.

I went to AA when I was in college, though I had a problem until I heard other people’s real problem. Long story short, ended up with a 6 pack that night and figured the difference between Addiction & Vice Problem

I definitely have a Gun Problem, think a out it all day & night. Youtube every gun channel

Like when you have to buy a new suit and end up thinking "I could've bought another gun"?

The C&R "Golden Age" meant good guns at really low prices and I swore I wouldn't miss the boat on this one. Brand new in the crate Yugoslavian SKS's $120.00 free shipping on three or more. CZ 82's new with some rack wear on the trigger guard $180,00 shipped with holster, two magazines and cleaning rod. Makarov;s East German, Russian, and Bulgarian all under $200.00. Walther P-1 $200.00 with two magazines and holster. I could go on. Bought them all. Lately a S&W SD9VE and a Taurus G3, both under $300.00. Impulse buy's, but happy with both. I carried one of the CZ 82's for a self defense gun until I bought a CZP-01. CZ 82 with 12 rounds of 9X18 MM HP's didn't make me feel under gunned. Those C&R day's are long gone and the market price on some of these guns often exceeds the market price of new contemporary forearms.

I have two of these CZ52s, fun and interesting guns. You MUST roll up your sleeves and replace the extractor, firing pin and rollers, it'll take you a couple of hours on a Saturday.
The hardening on the steel on these parts was not up to modern standards and each of these parts will break, rendering your pistol useless. The replacement parts are cheap
and not that difficult to replace. Thankfully the good folks at Harrington Products have us covered. https://harringtonproducts.com/

Single shot guns fit my shooting style.
I like to reload.
I'm not a fan of wasting ammo.
I like have different Calibers for hunting.
....therefore....
I have gone completely overboard with the NEF/H&R Handi-Rifle line. Shotguns and Slug guns too.View attachment 1149729
I've always been a poor-boy but these are inexpensive. I kinda want a Handi-Rifle in .35Whelen.....for some reason...

I sent a rifle and a shotgun in to NEF a while back. It's like a poor man's Contender.

I handed them down to one of my kids this year. I had a 223, 30-30, 45-70, and 20 gauge slug barrel. And shotgun with 410, 28 ga., and 16 ga., plus the 12 gauge and 20 gauge shotguns I already had.

THANK YOU!!!

I'm both a bargain and a rattletrap hunter. I love higher end guns in sad but salvageable shape for peanuts, and I have a bad habit of buying bottom shelf clearance guns every now and then, aspiring to turn them into shooters. Corona lockdown was great, I've never managed to finish as many "eternity projects" as I did during its first months.

My wife thinks I'm a sick puppy, though.

Does a home made gun that I was given the materials to build and have no money in, other than time spent... count? I have five such guns. A 45-70, a 30-06, both rifles, a 45 caliber pistol, a 38 special, a 32-20 and a 22 mag pistol. All were made, with the exception of springs, screws and the barrel's by myself out of scraps of steel. All are copies of Rolling block actions because of that action's stupid simplicity. I have posted many pictures of these guns in the past and I'm too lazy to find in my cell phone and post any more tonight. If anyone really wants to see them I will post a pic tomorrow

I have 2 " low " priced handguns. Taurus G3c and Sar b6. The G3c I got a couple years ago. I had a little trouble getting past the break in period but since it's been an excellent little gun. I'm probably at around a 1000 rounds without a single fail except one single fail to fire that turned out to be the round and not the gun. And, I've gotten pretty good with it.
The Sar b6 I've had for about 6 months. At around 500 rounds Without a single fail , None, out of the box. Very accurate and reliable so far. Fastly becoming my favorite handgun.
And, I have Absolutely No problem with handguns that are accurate, reliable And cost Less. None at all. 20221029_134320.jpg

Time is money! we know what skills you acquire at Les Baer!

Quite the conundrum as I assume that suit pays for the addiction. Without one you dont have the other.

When I was a young man I remembered looking at the Jennings pistols in the glass display cabinet at my LGS. The 25acp and 32acp pistols looked so cool. With price tags of $60 I wanted one. By the time I was 21 I had other commitments. And cash for toys was not a priority.
I think the day will come that I will run across one of those old Jennings and just buy.
I know, I know, what for????

Life is to short to drink cheap whiskey!
But a few cheap guns are just fun!!!
