Buying Savage 110: 25-06, 30-06, 300WSM, 7mm Rem Mag, or .308?

From my understanding the military went with .308 due to accuracy. the 30-06 has more neck contact with the bullet than the .308, thus providing more firiction and less accuracy.

One advantage of the -06 is the ability to carry a heavier bullet with more umph. HTH.

u need nothing more than a 308/3006 to kill ALL game in the lower 48 and u don't need anything else in Alaska either, or north to Canada. ALL the rest is "fun"/differnt to use ....( just took a boo with 30carbine).....i have killed /taken and ate ... all huntable wild game but......wild pig/big cat in NA ........... SHOT PLACEMENT,COOL CALM READY TO DO THE JOB is the key!
