Right. The single thing I miss most right now are my pieces.

Must...have...657...:D

The first purchase was an SP1 AR15 when I was 18, when I wore that out it was traded in on an AKS, then there was the 22, the a 1911, a Beretta, a Hipower, a Benelli, another 1911.... so on and so forth. The my first S&W Model 27, brought back a few memories of when I first went handgun shopping and was rebuffed by a rude shop owner in my search for a 5" M27.

Anyway, now I've become an N-Frame addict

I have to gain control of this addiction, as it's cutting into my quest for an M1A.

Funny, in the '80's I used to think of AW's as "military crap" and never cared much for them. I could see AR's and Ayche und Kaiyes as interesting, but hardly something to pursue. Now that they are hard to come by, I think FAL's are sorta stylish:D

Man is by nature driven to add aesthetic embelishments to our tools and hobbies. Golfers revere not just the challenge of the Augusta National Golf Course, but also those arrays of azaleas that display during tournament week.

It's hardly just an American thing, either, the Vikings lavished carved art into their sailing ships, and the samurai of old Japan worshipped the art and care that went into their swords.

Me? I like rifles with pretty wood that shoot 1/2" groups:D

Yep. Way over my "need" days. Way into "want."

But, tactically I do need four belt fed machine guns. But a fortress for my house and put one in a tower a each corner.

Heh. One day, I'll have an enormous house, surrounded by immense holly bushes on the outside perimeter, inside of which will be closely spaced trees. Close to my abode will be gigantic concrete flower pots. All very nonthreatening and decorative, of course. (Unlike Byron's planned lair.)

Very nice, Phil. An M27 in 3.5 bl will hopefully be something I pick up in the next few years...

I don't happen to know the where abouts of any 3.5" M27s but there have been 2 4" M28s floating about the WAC shows for a couple of months. I'm sorely tempted by them.

tex_n_cal Mmmmmmmm Ruger #1... What Caliber? I have an odd attraction to them in 375H&H and 458 win mag. Nice blade too, I used to work for a photostudio that specialized in custom knife photography.
