they make a good 'nuff stock, and used to provide some of remingtons laminated stocks (still might, dunno - i'm out of the loop now). i am not a fan of their thumb hole stocks because the hole and angle of the hole isn't right for me. as popular as they are, though, i'd say i'm in the minority.

I've had good luck with boyds, and incidentally, I do like their thumbhole stocks, especially the newer limited edition heavy varmint stocks.

I've only bought fully finished stocks and although the actions drop right in, I have found that a little barrel channel sanding/fitting/bedding really helps.

Here is a pick of my Remington 700 SPS Varmint in one of their varmint stocks. I'd recommend this stock to any of my friends.

I have had a boyd's jrs on a custom ruger for 8 years and have had know problems at all. It was bedded by a very good smith while gun was built.

The stock you linked to is a heck of a buy for a finished piece and probably has a remington pad on it. I purchased the same style for my BDL, paid $150 and am very pleased, only took some minor fitting. Notice there are limited colors available, so I suspect they are leftovers from a Remington order. I'd jump on it quick,
