New Remington 700 Varminter

Went out and picked up a Remington 700 ADL Varmint in .308 at the local Dick's sporting goods today. After rebate it'll be $449. Initially I was going to order a Howa Heavy Barrel Varminter but did not like the Hogue stock at all. At least with the Remington varminter stock I can live with it until after I get some good glass for it.

Nice, I did not know that they made an ADL varmiter, mine is an ADL and it cost $100 more, go figure.

Basically you are paying for a barreled 700 action and getting a usable stock.....lol

Sniper Central actually gives them a pretty good write up. Once I get a decent scope for it and it shoots under an inch I may just keep the factory stock on it.

Nice rifle! If it shoots as well as my SPS Varmint .223, you'll be very happy

I've had very good luck with Remington 700's. I'd sooner have one then a Howa too. Heck, I've had good luck with Savage too, although they seem to be hit or miss.
