C&R Lisence

Good to know. Make a copy, sign it and send it to MidwayUSA. You'll save plenty of money on reloading equipment once they set up a dealer account for you.

Rusty, now you have my hopes up. My check was cashed by the BATFE about 3 weeks ago...

I am out of reloading supplies and need to make a MidwayUSA order but am holding out for having my C&R account set up...

What is the basic idea?

I just recently heard of the C&R licence. Would anybody be willing to tell the short story about what it basically is, why you would want one, and how much it costs?

I would LOVE to save a few $$$ on reloading stuff, especially as we see prices starting to climb.

-Thanks in advance

Anyone actually have a C&R in New Jersey? I keep hearing conflicting stories that you can't have them here. Honestly, I only want one to save money on supply and accessory purchases. I wouldn't use it to actually purchase C&R guns due to the laws here.

Emptyrean,

I don't know about New Jersey, but I know the BATF has a website that'll answer most of your questions or give you a phone number for your local BATF office, whom you can call and get answers to your questions. On this one and in in that state, it's better and safer to get the scoop right out of the horses mouth.

Regards,

Dave

a couple C&R questions...

I've thought about this for a couple reasons.....one of which is discounts from stores like Midway and another is, I'd like to get both a Garand and an AK.

how much did it cost you?

how long is it good for and what is renewal fee?

approx. what % off do outfits like Midway give for business accounts?

Discount?

What is the discount that Midway or others offer?
Thanks

MidwayUSA discounts are very, very small; hardly worth the effort. Brownells discounts are significant and very much worth the effort but they don't have alot of stuff that MidwayUSA and others have. Also, be carefull about shipping; some places that ship for free don't do it if you buy with a C&R license.

Brownells offers a discount to any business (doesn't even have to be firearms related).

My wife has a hair salon and one day I had her order me some stuff. Ups shipping is a little cheaper if it is shipped to a business. The woman on the phone asked if it was a business and my wife told her it was. She then told the lady on the phone that it wasn't a firearms related business and the lady said it didn't matter.

Its to bad that they don't sell reloading supplies since it is a pretty good discount off their regular prices.
