C&R renewal

My C&R license will be expiring this year and I would like to renew it. Can anyone tell me how to renew the license?

The ATF should send you a renewal application about 3 months or so before it expires. If you haven't seen it within 2 months of expiration, I would call them.

I filled and sent my renewal out ASAP and I didn't get the renewed C&R until my old almost expired.

I sent my change of address (presumably the same people process these as renewals) over two months ago and have yet to hear back.

I think you have to send a copy of the renewal application to the CLEO also. The CLEO does not play a role in the renewal process though.

You should get a packet from ATF in plenty of time. A renewal application arrived a few weeks ago and mine doesn't expire until March. Yes, a copy has to be mailed to the CLEO.

Yes you have to send a copy of the completed renewal form to the CLEO in your town. It even states how to do it on the renewal form. I know a lot of people don't do this but it is a stupid way to lose ones license.
