I got a new c39 v2 milled ak. It only shoots one round won't eject or chamber another round. It's like a single shoot u shoot then eject the round then chamber next round. It came with pmags. What could the problem be? Thanks in advance

Have you tried it with multiple mags? I have the v1 and haven't had a single problem. I have shot 20 round mags, 30 round mags, and a 75 round drum. The gun eats anything you feed it. My 30 round mags that I shoot the most are PMags.

A mag problem is by far the easiest malfunction to diagnose, which is why most people suggest starting there. If its a mag issue, it will become readily apparent when one mag or type of mag works, and others dont. DOes the C39 have a way of shutting off the gas system? I know some SKS rifles had a way of doing so that would result in the type of malfunction you describe.

It's a new rifle. Has it been cleaned and lubed?

Despite popular myth, even AKs require cleaning and lubrication.

Also might be worth shining a light up the barrel to see if a gas port was drilled. It is a Century-made (as opposed to imported) product, after all.

AKs are easy to maintain but actually require work and fitting to make right in the first place.

Send it back and let Century deal with it. Don't wait because Century will warranties thier products for a year after they shipped it, not from when you bought it. If you mess with it too much (like fitting parts) they will say you damaged it and deny the warranty claim.

I have the V1, never cleaned it before shooting. To this day, never a glitch or malfunction. I have used multiple Pmags, drums, etc.

I agree with letting Century deal with it. It's not normal.

Sound like short stroking. Remove cover and recoil spring, cycle the bolt to see if any binding. Some common sources of binding conditions are piston rod, receiver and hammer. Hammer sitting too high could cause high resistance and short stroking.

I agree. But pretty much any of those things is going to,require replacing and fitting parts. Plus, they may have screwed up the mag height so that the bolt/bolt carrier won't clear the mag, and to fix that you need a total rebuild or new receiver.

Better for the OP to not dink himself out of warranty coverage, if he has any.
