Bill Simon Flattens Gray Davis in Post Speech News Conference

Los Angeles--In a clear demonstration that Bill Simon is the only candidate prepared to govern California, Simon took Gray Davis to task point by point last night directly following Davis’s speech.

“All Gray Davis did in his speech was duck, dodge, deceive, and point the finger at everyone and everything except himself. That’s why he will be recalled on October 7th. He has never been honest with the people about energy, the budget, the economy, or our schools—and he was not honest in his speech,†said Simon as he addressed a room full of electronic and print reporters.

News reports across the state pointed out that Simon was the only Republican to address the media after the Davis speech. That’s because Simon’s depth of understanding on the issues enabled him to rebut Davis item for item without a prior briefing.

The Los Angeles Times reported that Simon, “…said the governor did anything but take responsibility, as he promised he would at the start of his speech.â€

“ ‘What we heard was, ‘It’s somebody else’s fault. It’s a conspiracy. It’s President Bush. It’s the national economy,’’ said Simon. ‘It’s everything but Gray Davis himself’†(Los Angeles Times, August 20, 2003).

In 2002, Bill Simon received over 3 million votes for governor and needs only a fraction of those to prevail in the recall election.

GET OUT THERE AND VOTE GREY JOE DUFUS OUT! NO EXCUSES! :cuss:

If I were still a subject of the People's Republic of California, I'd vote to recall Red Davis and put Tom McClintock in the governor's office.

    Those guys have no chance.

They are too regular, normal and smart.

CA will only pay attention to freaks and weasels.

Regular folks need not apply. That goes double for libertarians and conservatives.
