UPDATE ON RECALL GRAY DAVIS CAMPAIGN

RECALL EFFORT AHEAD BY 21% IN FIELD POLL
= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =
The Recall Gray Davis campaign is thrilled to report that the latest
Field Poll shows the recall effort AHEAD BY TWENTY ONE (21) POINTS!
According to the Field Poll, 58% of voters plan to vote YES on the
recall question, while only 37% planned to vote NO. This is just
what we predicted, that as more voters learned about the recall
process, why it was enacted into law, and how Gray Davis would
respond to it, that support for the recall would grow dramatically.
The news media and political establishment are only now BEGINNING to
understand this. Many on the East Coast still don’t have a clue and
seethe with contempt at the notion that people are allowed to be in
control of their election process. They think that is dangerous and
wrong. What terribly out-of-touch elitists these political people in
the ruling class are.

RECALL SUPPORTERS BEATEN, KICKED, PUNCHED

The big news prior to the Field Poll was, of course, the violent
assault by Gray Davis thugs on pro-recall supporters.
Several Recall Gray Davis supporters, volunteers and staff members
were victimized in the attack – men, women and even an 8 year-old.
They’ve filed criminal assault charges. Meanwhile the Recall Gray
Davis Committee is working with a number of legal teams for a series
of civil lawsuits against those responsible for the attacks – including
event organizers.

The University of California Institute for Labor & Employment was
announced as an initial organizer of the anti-recall workshops
“WAR†– “Workers Against the Recall.†This is what prompted our
protest.
The UC ILE then denied they were involved. Suddenly information
citing them as a leader in the “WAR†effort was removed from their
website. Fortunately we saved a screen image of the site.
Then UC ILE members said that many of their staff members were indeed
involved in the effort and would attend the workshops, but swore that
they were not involved during business hours when they receive funding
from taxpayers. This year alone the UC ILE received $4,000,000.
You be the judge on that one…
To voice your outrage over the taxpayer funding of “WAR†anti-recall
workshops where recall supporters are beaten, please write to the folks
below. Remember – these people will lie to you and insist that they
were not involved, even though we here at the Recall Gray Davis

The Recall Gray Davis Committee is not supporting or endorsing ANY
candidate for Governor in the October 7th Recall Election.
However, as the official “YES on RECALL†campaign we will be the
clearinghouse for information on the recall effort and all of the
pro-recall gubernatorial candidates.

website.
In the meantime we wanted to bring you a few updates on some of the
pro-Recall campaigns.
+ Tom McClintock’s website has gotten a facelift as it has been
transformed into a McClintock for Governor online hub. McClintock’s
campaign says they’ve raised $1,000,000 – a lot of it online. The

+ Bill Simon (R) opened his campaign headquarters in Sacramento earlier
this afternoon. There were a number of Simon supporters and a flood

+ Better Yet… Pro-Recall Democrat candidate, Former State Assemblywoman
Audie Bock(D), has been appearing all over the radio and television.
Last night we saw her on ABC World News Tonight and the day before
that she was heard on National Public Radio (NPR). The question
remains whether this pro-Recall Democrat can raise enough money to
give Cruz Bustamante nightmares. Find out more at:

+ Better Still… “Better†seems to be the campaign theme for a few
gubernatorial candidates. The American Indpendent Party’s candidate
for Governor, Diane Beall Templin says she’d be “A Better California
Governor†too. The American Independent Party is California’s third
largest political party and they have officially endorsed the recall

+ Arnold Schwarzenegger (R) has launched his campaign website. You

campaign team has taken shape this week. Former Pete Wilson Chief
of Staff, Bob White, will be his campaign manager. Also, investor
Warren Buffett and former U.S. Secretary of State, George Schultz,
were announced as new members of Arnold’s campaign team.

news report crossed my desk. It seems actor Rob Lowe has also joined
