I was thinking of getting a saiga in .223, I love mine in .308, but I decided after spending 4 yrs quality time with an m16a1, I might as well get an AR.

I just bought a DT OLL complete lower for 225 new with my choice of regular stock or expanding. I am going with the telescoping one for more adjustability. As purchased, it comes with a standard mag release, the dealer said I could add a bullet button for 30 more.

Here are the Options I am aware of at the moment

Prince 50, approx 15$ standard mag release with hex pin that is tightened to create a fixed mag for shooting.

Bullet button, 30$ seems to be a very popular ca option, allows "evil" features like pistol grip collapsible stock and vertical grips.
At the gun show I bought the lower from, a couple dealers were offering kits that put a small nub/pin at the bottoms of mags, when it comes time reload a mag not inserted into the gun can legally be considered a tool, the pin is used to activate the button, the mag is now inserted, this looked fairly fast.

Monsterman grip 45$, replaces pistol grip, fills in gap between grip between stock and grip allowing the the lawful use of removable mags ( No evil features allowed )

Hammerhead grip, 80$ funny looking gizmo that replaces pistol grip and gives you something to grab that is technically not a pistol grip.

Tactical Duct Tape 3$ :neener: ( Should I admit I thought this up myself? )
A Wrap around telescoping stock so it can not be adjusted.
B Wrap between pistol grip and and stock removing gap, transforming the pistol grip into a sporting stock. I think that would meet the letter of the law allowing the use of removable mags.

Does any one here have experience with ca Ar's and what system do you think is best?

PS anyone know the best deal on uppers? I am thinking DT at the moment for around 430

Thanks
