Does anyone know of if anyone makes a Ca legal 45 ACP carbine, or am I on a hopeless quest?

Turners Outdoorsman in So Cal actually has the H&K USC "on sale" for
$1,700 (OUCH!).

I called Hi Point last year about their carbine. They said they didn't
want to go through the hassle of filing the reams of paper required to
get it CA approved so it's not sold in the state.

Some other options include (all which are about 1/2 the price of the H&K):
1. The Berreta CX-4 Storm
2. Marlin 1894 lever gun w/ 20" barrel
3. Henry Big Boy lever gun w/ 20" barrel

We are working on the crazy laws as hard and a fast as we can. We have a very solid strategy in place, but like all things legal it takes time. In the mean time folks are very thankful to the companies that support us and find ways to offer their products in CA. Most of us have pledged to continue to support them once we win some of these pending and future cases.

As suggested above, I would look at a Marlin 1894 or a Winchester, et al 1892 series. They can be had in .357 or .44 and are still very effective carbines.

Check out Thureon Defense. They have both a 9mm and a new .45 ACP carbine, and I think that both of them can be had in a CA compliant configuration. Bullet Button w/10 rnd. magazines.

Their website is www.mycarbine.com
