Thanks for the heads-up.

Unfortunately Cabela's has decided to overcharge as usual. If the small gun shop in my town can sell primers for $27.95 to $29.95 (new stock, not leftovers) there's no reason a big outfit like Cabela's has to charge $32.99 to $36.99. Add in the Hazmat and S&H and forget about being able to buy many. What a shame...

BTW, they also have Federal Small Pistol Mag primers in stock too. (but they are no cheaper than the CCI primers)

One of the local indoor ranges here in Virginia Beach is trying to sell Winchester LR primers for $52.00 (plus 5% tax) per 1k so buying 5,000 from Cabela's for around $190.00 is still a savings of over $50.00 (even with shipping costs and hazmat fees). I agree the prices are higher then some, but at least they have them in stock. When they get Winchester LR primers in stock I will pay the $32 per 1,000 just to get it over with. In the past 3 months I have received from Cabela's 5,000 SR, 5,000 SP and 5,000 LP prmers. So all I need now is LR primers and I'll have enough primers to last me a very long time.

Disclaimer: I don't work for Cabela's nor do I own any stock in this company. I just get tired of trying to support our local gun shops and then find the same items listed for 20 to 30% less online or in a catalog.

Yup.

I'm going to be near the Kansas City Cabelas store Sat. Anyone know if they have any small and large pistol primers in stock [also any Win. 231, Bullseye or Unique powder]???

Visited another gun store in Virginia Beach today that had both Federal and Winchester Large Rifle Primers on the shelf. They wanted $48 (plus 5% tax) for the Winchester and the fellow behind the counter couldn't find the price on the Federal (no kidding, I left without ever getting a price). For 5,000 primers (they only had 3,000 in stock) the cost at this gun store would have $252.00 (with tax). After this fiasco today and the price gouging prices I am finding locally I will gladly pay Cabelas (or another online dealer) $33 per thousand (plus hazmat, shipping and handling fees) for a shipment of 5,000 Winchester LR primers.

Hate to rain on your parade here but at the Maine Cabellas the walk in primer sales were limited to 200 per customer per day!:fire: Went to a local gunshop on the way home (about 50 miles closer BTW) I got 1400 LP WIN for 36.00 per 1K and 8K CCI SR. All I wanted - no restrictions - for about the same price.:D Where do you think I will spend my $$$ next time?
