I have some Cabela's gift certificates that need using and am considering using them to purchase electronic hearing protection. I like the looks of the Pro Ears Dimension 2 because of the radio input capabilities, however Cabela's also offers Walker's and Tactical 6 without radio input. Any pro/con opinions on these and any others that may be out there but not necessarily sold by Cabela's?

You asked me to comment...I'm not familiar with any of the latest electronic ears out there. Obviously I am always around a lot of rifle fire. I have found that any muff gets in my way of the stock and a good cheek weld. Personally, I much prefer a GOOD set of the injection molded plugs that someone squirts in your ear. A master at making them will ensure a good fit and good noise cancellation. True, you will not be able to hear well unless you pop one out, but that isn't hard to do. Just my 2 cents.

I have a custom set of molded plugs as well as Peltor 10's. I am exploring the electronic types with radio input for those situations where amplification and communication are needed.
