hi all,

so i know looking for a good pack without a good store around locally can be a pain without a good review. thus, lazy sunday, so i thought i'd do a review on my latest piece of equipment, cabelas rifle and bow pack. i bought a size large in the 'open country' camo pattern. lots of good features you can read up on at cabelas.com

camo pattern works great and with the rest of the fabric being close to ranger green, i like it a lot. plenty of space for what i normally pack for a week. in the pic you can see what my one man tent and sleeping bag take up for space in the main compartment (along with the water rez, which is a great add on!).

smaller pack that breaks off has enough room for the water pack and enough snacks for the day and its own little shoulder straps.

also attached a pic of the pack holding my 700P (24" barrel). i'm pretty paranoid about caring for my rifle and this pack holds it tight enough i dont really even think about it, even though i'm still going to add a scope and crown cover to the equation. good balance too.

smaller dudes such as myself beware. the large size pack just barely gets small enough for my 32" waist.

pack does not replace a sling (you wont get your weapon out quick and quiet) for quick access, but its great for the long haul. also the top two fastners for the compression pack restrict access to the main compartment, but that hasnt been a problem for me yet.

for the $100 bucks i pad for it, couldnt be happier! great pack, good quality for price. let me know if you have any questions!
