maybe it's me, but I think this is a crappy website. At least for guns that is.

They seem to make guns "unfindable". I know they sell tons of guns, and I have their latest sunday paper ad with a great sale on XDs ...

but try to find rifles, pistols, or guns on their website... no go... just air guns is all.

what is their major malfunction !?

My assumption would be that they don't sell guns via mail order, and that pricing and availability at the retail locations vary from store to store.

I've been to the store in Buda, Texas, twice in the last week--even midweek, crowds, especially around the gun counter and in the Gun Library, were huge. From the racks in the Gun Library, it looks like lots of good little boys and girls got the firearms of their dreams. The gun counter was pretty well stocked (restocked?). I suspect there's huge turnover in their firearms, so I can't fault them too much if their website is not up to the minute.

Um since I dont have the ad can you tell me what the sale was? Im looking for hopefully an XD compact .45 and Im planning on buying from Cabelas. This could be key.

yes, I did see the "gun library" link and clicked on it.

I like to browse a store's website even though I am planning to visit the store in person. Any person with a grain of intellect would expect to find guns if searching on "rifle", "pistol" or "guns" or whatever.

Plus, if you search on "xd-45" you find a couple of accessories, but no gun.

Cabela's web site has the Gun Library, if you see something you like at any of the stores they will ship it to the store near you. Got a few of mine that way.
If you don't like it there isn't any obligation. They don't advertise their entire line. Excetions are the cap and ball/muzzleloaders. I am a bit partial , I got
