When you find out, let me know..
By now I suppose most know the Assembly and Senate passed both bullet
ID bills. That in itself is B.S, however did you also know that the Senate
passed SB60 ? This bill gives the illegal infestation access to Cal drivers
licenses..Now how does this make sense. Attempt to hamstring law abiding
gun enthusiasts, and reward the st/federal lawbreakers by allowing DL's
here in Corruptfornia ? >

I thought both bills only passed one chamber each (LOL)

No pun intended . . .

The etching-on-the-bullet bill passed the Senate,
while the etching-on-the-barrel bill passed the House

. . .so now both bills have continued on to the second stage of consideration by the legislative bodies that HADN'T yet voted on them . . .

The final nail for California

I feel really sorry for the gun owners in California. How could the voters allow these ridiculous bills to become law. I wish there was something optimistic to say about their situation but in truth I can only offer sympathy. Gun and ammomakers are about to write off the whole state for civilian sales.

With these laws the gun grabbers have won unless the governor vetoes them and even then from what I know his veto may be overridden.

Woo california is becoming more like England every day, only with crappier beer and more mexicans.

Well, to be fair, we have Mexican beer, an a few crappy Englishmen too!

In all firness, the electorate never got a chance to give their opinion on the subject. This went through the state legislature and the Govenators office. Same result, though. (Which reminds me, doesn't someone here have the .sig "rope, lampost, and politician: some assembly required"?

As for the illegals getting ID's, it might be a good thing. Now, if they get stopped anywhere in America (ie: not the P.R.Ca.), they can easily be identified as illegals and removed from the US. It'd also be interseting if stores refuse to accept these "licences" as valid ID for credit card purchases and the like.

I doubt it. Wells Fargo accepts the Matricula Consular card as ID which is only necessary to illegals. Which is why I won't do business with Wells Fargo.

The only way they'll really make a difference is if they follow Ronnie Barrett's lead and refuse to sell anything to CA LE that they can't sell to civillians. If the gun and ammo industries got together on this, it would do a lot to help us. But, I'd be surprised if any of them have the testicular fortitude to do so.

They've still got a couple steps before they become law - pass the other house, and then pass Der Gubernator.

Redouble your efforts. If that fails, then start packing. It's not over yet (thank you, Schoolhouse Rock's "I'm Just a Bill.")

We've all read the threatening letter he wrote, but can anyone confirm that he ever followed through on it? His rifles hit the ban list a while back, if he had given the entire state the finger i'm sure we would have heard about it by now.

Personally, i love the idea of gun makers boycotting CA, but it will never happen. If they can make money they'll sell whatever they can. Look at how many of them have sold us out at one point in time. Wait, that'd be a long list, maybe we should list the ones that havent sold us out somehow.

If we were smart we'd put a little hurt on the gun companies and boycott any company that sells to CA officials.. :cuss:

Sadly, even if these gun bills get stopped, they will come back again in some form or other. You might win the battle but you have lost the war. :(

Once upon a time, Ronnie Barrett's type of courage was the norm, not the exception. That, sad to say, was awhile ago.

Nonsense!

You haven't failed until you quit trying!

CA was worth fighting over when it had a great job market, affordable real estate and high salaries.

Now it is just an expensive place to visit, with onerous laws, high tax and high crime.

I say let it collapse so the healing can begin. The CA state govt needs to be a few billion dollars smaller than it currently is and real estate values need to be about 40 percent lower than they are.

So how does this guarantee that illegals will be insured? Do they have to pass a basic driving test to qualify for the license? All the road signs are in English, HTF are they going to pass a test if they can't read/speak/write English?

The sole purpose of this is to further legitimize illegal entry into this country.

Bubbles posted this image in another thread. Apparently it is an ad of some type. Looks like he pulled it off.

if you look on his webpage, the text posted above is present on the info page for every rifle he sells as well as the main page. I'd say he''s standing by his word.

Yeah, Ronnie Barrett is pretty pissed at the CA state govt after the treatment they gave him during the original debate on the law.

What will happen to the millions of non-imprinted handguns in the state, not to mention the millions of criminals that arent even allowed guns in the first place?

Glad to hear it. Wish more of them would cut off CA like that.

Not to mention 20 seconds with a dremel would erase any case numbers, or stamping marks from a firearm.

the biggest problem with CA is becoming ever more apparent=

these laws dont have that much effect on the VOTING people/

they either dont own guns, or are so rich they dont care.

or we are so used to ignoring the laws ..............

The PRC is a real squirrel cage and I'm trapped in it unless I win the lottery. You just KNOW I buy a $5 quickpick twice a week!! The ironic thing about it is that if I were living in most rural counties I'd get a CCW in a heart beat!!

Same here, Buck

I just can't afford to get out of here, hell, I saved up quite a chunk of cash to buy my last rifle, and it took me some time, thanks to the high rent and high cost of living.

Man, if I had the cash, I'd pack my ???? and bolt like a burnt pecker dog,
