Didn't mean to come across as to simply imply only your shooting skills but that also encompasses the weapon of choice having the ability to perform reliably EVERY time. I guess I should have been more clear for you. We all live and learn, I've been busting pigs for many years and you wouldn't believe what I have gone through in rifles in my quest for the perfect pig rig!

Keep at it and you will enjoy a successful hunt sooner or later.

hey, no offense taken; it's an honest observation and part of the learning curve of choosing to build my own rig instead of just buying one pre-made. I'll get there, and I'd rather learn on a florida pig than my dream hunt of hyenas in namibia. The truth is exactly what I wrote; I'm much better at setting up a position and making the shot than I am at the gunsmithing right now. But I'll get there.
I should stick w/ my rule of always, always use my .243 when possible; it's a TC Icon which means, the rail top prevents having those screws to come loose at all. Or get around to building an AI-style .280 rem. Maybe when the house is paid off... :)
