You round up.........You don`t round down !
Who's rounding? The bore is the distance across the lands, not the grooves. Regardless, all those different bores are different calibers whether you round or not, contrary to what you originally claimed.

Wow, you found the one example that wasn't even part of the discussion. Good job!

Yeah right, what about the 8mm Kurz.
You mean the one officially called the 7.92x33 Kurz? Again, you can look around all you want and find things called something other than what they are but that doesn't change the fact that your original statement is still wrong. The .270 and 7mm Rem Mag are NOT the same caliber!

If you get back into many of the early US cartridge rounds, the nomenclature wasn't even close to any dimension on the gun, but that isn't germane to the discussion here at all.

Never said they were the same caliber, just said they both used a 7mm bullet..........

I am going to give you this one, but really there is only three calibers there, the .270 is a 7mm bullet.

Want to recant what you said now? This was in reference to the .277, .284, .308 and .338.

BAR

I used to have a BAR in .308. It was a really nice rifle. A heavy S.O.B. though. It was stolen and I replaced it with a bolt action.
