Calicos were great quality from what I hear. They just had rotten luck, and weren't in business too long before the AWB.

I didn't realize they were still around either. They got dealt a raw hand when the 10 round limit came into effect. I have also heard good things about them and the helical feed mags are interesting, although magazine prices are pretty horrific.

Calico® Light Weapon Systems (CLWS) is currently in full production mode building its revolutionary and proprietary “Legacy Design” high-capacity, helical-feed 9mm and .22 cal. select-fire submachine guns and semi-auto-only carbines, SBRs (Short-Barreled Rifles) and pistols. The helical-feed magazine feature makes these Calico weapons unique, and unlike any other U.S.-made firearms.

And, new products are on the way. Calico is now in the final stages of testing a .40 cal prototype rifle and pistol. Moreover, Calico® has recently begun producing an upper receiver conversion kit which will allow for the use of their 50 and 100 round helical magazines on MAC 10 & 11 platforms. Other pistol and rifle calibers will be available soon and will be introduced at the 2008 SHOT Show.

It’s important to note that Calico’s® manufacturing process blends state-of-the-art technologies, materials and modernized manufacturing methods to offer significant improvements over typical rifle and pistol configurations. The company strives to produce firearms that perform flawlessly, are lightweight, load easily, shoot accurately and are simple to maintain.

On a side note, the Calico web site has been completely redesigned. An expanding line of parts and accessories are also available to enhance the firearm owner’s shooting experience.

Calico® is very excited about its latest firearms and accessory products and looks forward to serving its valued customers today and far into the future.

THE REVOLUTION CONTINUES

i dont know, but i would not depend on caliclo for anything, just try contacting them, they never and i do mean never answer there phones or emails, you can never find anyone at the company, and the dealers here in nevada have all said they are the biggest flakes, i dont know what they are doing , but if they cant manage the company they should get the hell out of the business, in fact i dont think they are even making rifles

calico arms , do they ever answer there phones

i dont know whats up with this company, but they act as if they have closed there doors, i have placed 60 phone calls to the compsny and left 60 messages, i have never been able to get anything but a stupid recording, as well as any email response, even the dealers here in nevada say they cant get through, its a nice rifle but if you cant depend on the manufacture , i think you would be better to buy something else, and from the surface it looks as if they are going out of business, i ask a few dealers that sell there rifles, and they said they are not even making rifles , and just selling parts from inventory, i would love to own a 40.cal, but with there bad customer service , hey they can keep it

That doesn't exactly describe a P.O.S.

it loading tube breaks
What does that mean? You are making us blind and deaf with your lacks of the grammar, misuse of punctuation;," and speeling.

hey you must own some stock in the company
Ad hominem attacks don't exactly prove you point or make you look smart, either.

hey you must own some stock in the company

I own stock? Sweet! :D

All of a sudden I really want to buy one of these, just because of the haters, It bugs pro and anti gun people, dual compatibility, money cant buy that, actually it can for however much they sell it for.

I could care less if someone buys one...unlike some I don't have an agenda against it. I just think it's so ugly the rest of the guns in my safe would strangle it in the middle of the night with a bore snake just to put it out of it's misery.

We own 2 of the .22 rifles. Neither have every had any problem.

I've both corresponded and spoken with people at Calico.

They've been helpful in both cases.
