So... That you are aware of, what are all the California legal "assault weapons"
Such as; FAL, HK91, M-14--even though it's not really "AW" until something like the flash supressor/bayo lug is attached or is dropped into the non-Kal legal EBR stock, etc

But what other rifle TYPES are you aware of and who are the MANUFACTURE'S of said rifles? Cuz I don't wanna know just about the models/types but also WHO makes em. :)

Plus, I wouldn't know, but aren't weapon systems such as the HK and AR rather difficult to load with a fixed mag?

Thanks.

Use the search mode and check Calguns.net. There are a few that are "AW" with just the addition of that "evil pistol grip" besides a FAL, M-14, Mini-14 etc.

And maybe, I'm getting grouchy in my old age, but learn to write more clearly and concisely. I had to read your post three times to figure out what you were trying to say.;) ;)

First of all, once a gun becomes an "assault weapon" then it becomes illegal. There is no such thing as a "legal assualt weapon" as far as Kali is concerned.

That said, look into the:

M14/ M1A.. check out www.fultonarmory.com and www.springfieldarmory.com (both offer top-of-the-line rifles currently being used in combat)

Mini 14/Mini30 made by Ruger

Various flavors of SU-16 (made by kel-tec)

SKS (lots of makers) can be had with a pistol grip stock and a detachable magazine, if what your after is the "evil AW" look.

M1 Carbine (various makers) can also be had with a pistol grip stock if thats what you fancy. You should be ok as long as you don't have high capacity magazines. Everyones situation is different. The local sheriff has shot this carbine before and he didn't say a word about the legality of it. Here's a picture of mine... keep in mind the 30 round magazine would not exactly be legal.

Ruger 10/22... While not being very tactically useful It can be made to look the part.

I suppose you could try the fixed stock, break down, AR's... But I think those are CRAP! (excuse my french) if you ask me.

I'm sorry, I think you are incorrect. There are plenty of "legal AW's" in Kali. They had to have been registered with the DOJ back in 2000/2001 (don't remember when). If they were registered. Then you are in posession of a legally grandfathered AW. Also note if you were in posession of 30 rounders prior to the ban, then you can legally own 30 rounders in Cali also.

Plenty of Cali residents shoot our un-neutered ARs, AKs, Galils, etc. Unfortunate thing is that when we die, we can't even pass them down to our kids, they have to either be destroyed or sold out of state by our estates.:fire:

Scoobie, Look on Calguns.net immediately there may be a chance to aquire a "legal AW". follow the threads that read "223 lowers"
