If you want to keep your semi autos, 50's, and just about any other weapon other than a pellet gun, you had better make these calls today, We only have until Tuesday.

Committee hearings and the vote on SB1195 - the Daley gun ban and
confiscation plan will take place Tuesday.

4 things you must do to save your guns:

1. Call Senator Dillard at (217) 782-8148 and tell him to vote "NO" on SB1195

2. Call Senator Obama at (217) 782-5338 and tell him to vote "NO" on SB1195

3. Attend the Judiciary Committee hearing on Tuesday, March 11, 2003 in Room
400, Capitol Building, Springfield. The hearing is scheduled for 3:30 PM.

4. Pass this information along to all your gun owning friends and post it to
all freedom advocacy internet bulletin boards.

Senator Munoz is the Sponsor - His office number
is (217) 782-9415. You can ask to testify and may be selected.

My wife and I both called all three numbers today. We told them we were opposed to this bill and urged the senators to vote NO.

Both of us got the impression that the receptionist at Senator Dillards office was more than pleased at the calls from those opposed to the bill. She was the one who directed us to Senator Munoz office.

When we got through to Senator Obama's office and mentioned the bill, the receptionist said "and your opposed to it?". As if the only calls she was getting were from those opposed.

When we called Senator Monoz's office all we got was voice mail. But we left our message anyway.

We here in Kali warned you. NY and Kali were just the start. No one is safe with all these anti policraps around.

Don Gwinn, I called them all!!!

In fact Rick Wenkle, my Senator who has a good rep with gun owners, has heard from me 3 times in the last week about gun control. I can't get to Springfield at this time but my heart is with all who can. For those not from Illinois that wonder what got us in such a mess all of a sudden I will give my opinion. 1. The outgoing Gov. republican was the biggest crook my 56 years can remember. 2. The republican running for gov. didn't make guns an issue because he wasn't exactly loved by gun owners. 3.Blagovich did his best to distance himself from the issue and because of this and peoples disgust with the last gov. too many gun owners just stuck their heads in the sand. Wish us luck, we will need it. These are my opinions, if anyone disagrees that is OK, no hard feelings, Jim.
