and asked for some price quotes.

I was quoted $ 579.00 for a Colt NRM 1991A1 Govt. model, blued. Has to be ordered.
$719.00 for a S&W M1911, fixed sights. In stock now.
Was also quoted $750.00 for a Sig 226 RAI.
So...what do You think? I'm probably still going to go to the gunshow tomorrow, but am thinking about just going over to these guys and laying down the cash.

Jim if Sig puts the level of quality in their 1911 as they do in their other pistols then it's hands down SIG. If I was you always buy the best you can afford.

Those prices aren't bad. Maybe about $20 high, but if they're good people, who cares.

I'm looking at a S&W 1911 myself.

That's a little high for the SW1911. I paid $660 for mine, and SPORTS OUTFITTERS, INC over at www.gunsamerica.com has them for $639.

Cash in person, rather than a phone call would probably get you a better price with your local dealer.
