hey there; looking for a new gun; i have been looking for a semi-auto and have some interest in the 11-87's. at a local walmart that has a 11-87 in mossy oak break-up. it is an 12 ga. 11-87 sportsman and is chambered in 3" with a 28" barrel; i looked for this gun online but cannot find it on remington website or any other internet location; any info on this gun and why its not on remington website; also am wondering on the msrp of the gun; thanks

also would like to know any pros or cons for the 11-87; thanks

Special built to Walmart specs---you also don't qualify for any rebates offered-----the Supermag Express 870 camo is the same way-----I basically got the same thing as the full on camo SPS 870 Supermag---minus the sling and extra choke tubes for $268------$298 minus Walmart discount------great gun at a great price. I got a Remington extra full turkey choke tube on clearance for $4.50-- then picked up a IC tube at regular Walmart price minus discount.

The regular camo SPS 870 is $500 around here---the only difference I can see is the sling and choke tubes.

I wouldn't get an 11-87 Sportsman due to their morbid obesity. I don't know how they make them so heavy, but it must take effort.

The Premier, however, is a damn nice gun, unless you really need camouflage. Weight is just a tad more than a modern Wingmaster, and it's pretty, too.

i have an 11-87. its a really nice shooting gun, plus the fact that it shoot 2 and 3/4 - 3 and 1/2 inch shells makes it good. only problem is that it is kinda heavy, but it is a good gun, and i do recomend it
