By these standards, we should outlaw hippies on college campuses. The vast majority of people here at UVM smoke weed, drink excessively, cause a ruckus downtown, etc. Myself and the folks I know who keep arms never touch illegal drugs, keep the drinking in check (and also know that alcohol and guns don't mix, ever), and don't behave like animals in public. People who own guns legally generally have a higher sense of respect for law and order, and they demonstrate it by taking responsibility for their own safety. People who are looking out for their own well being aren't likely to do most of the things mentioned. Do some? Sure. Do most? Not at all.
I also don't understand the logic of the Brady Campaign. So people my age are old enough to fully face the consequences of illegal actions, but they aren't old enough to exercise a right?
It's important to watch the enemy. The Brady Campaign might only scratch the surface of the anti-gunners, but they are a significant figurehead in gun control advocacy groups (as I'm sure you know), and some politicians who represent the "interests" of the people receive their gun info from the Bradys', who in turn receive their gun info from Hollywood and wannabe gangbangers posing with their "Glock Fo-tays" on Youtube. Oh, and apparently all military rifles are designed to be spray fired from the hip. I'm not sure what depresses me more; the fact that these cretins are spreading blatant lies, or the fact that a lot of public figures believe them.

Why are we still paying attention to them?
