I know, you're probably thinking ***? But suppose I move across the country and need a way to take my guns with me. With a C&R license, can I ship them to myself at my new address? I'm curious about both C&R guns and non-C&R guns.

(I'm assuming that the average Joe CANNOT ship firearms to themselves, as they must go to a dealer/manufacturer? I think this is what I have heard.)

You can always ship guns to yourself, no C&R required, the ATF's example is sending them cross-country for a hunting trip to the hotel you will be staying at. They must be addressed to you, and you are the only person that may open the package.

As long as the state your moving too allows you to ship gun to yourself. I believe their are a few states that do not recognize C&R license as a legal FFL.
