Hello everyone,

So after looking at some recent threads @Trey Veston that gorgeous rifle of yours definitely helped here is a thought I have I am wanting a .22 hornet but like The quote “ Only Accurate rifles are interesting” so if a man we to get his hands on say a Kimber of Oregon model 82 in .22 hornet do you think a custom barrel could make it do what I want I guess I’ve always had this notion that the .22 hornet isn’t real accurate then if possible I’m thinking a custom Woodstock just a gorgeous blued and walnut rifle

So what does THR think here?

With the right amount of time, effort and money you can have an amazing Hornet built.

I’m seeing AAA walnut, outlined cheekpiece, grip cap, a schnabel fore end, octagon barrel, case hardened action finish…;)

Stay safe.

yes something like that :D maybe not all of those features but yes like that

No problem, there are a number firearms craftsmen at work today who can build you a rifle with whatever features you want, and then add more features you've never thought of. Some of the most beautiful -and accurate- .22 Hornets were built by Griffin & Howe on M22 Springfields. I tried to find and buy one some years ago but none were for sale and G&H no longer did the conversion. So Roger Green took on the job to build one to look like the the old G&H Hornets, plus a few tricks of his own, like the M-70 type safety and case colored fittings. The vintage UnertI scope make it pleasantly 1930's time specific. t's actually a K-Hornet, and delightfully accurate. Look closely at his sculpted stock detailing. Wow that thing is gorgeous!!!! I swear between you @Litetrigger and @Offfhand i see some of the prettiest Rifles I’ve ever seen y’all could open a museum with what I’ve seen here!

K-Hornets have been extremely accurate little rifles. Not so common as other options, but certainly nearer to the top of a list of good ideas than anywhere at all on a list of bad.
