I purchased this uberti 2nd model dragoon at a gunshow 2 weeks ago. ive searched the internet and even sent the s/n to uberti to find any info (they did not reply) so far i cant find anything about it. it has matching serial#s on all the parts..even the barrel wedge. the guy i bought it from said it was hand engraved at the factory..even the screw heads. it has gold wire inlay and nice fit and finish. i'm thinking its a "world class model" or whatever uberti calls their limited guns, but am not sure.
i'm just interested in its history..i bought it cheap and of course could only look at on the shelf for about a week before i just has to run some powder through it.
thanks to anyone with any insights.

thanks..
but the "research your gun" link no worky any more :( they have not responded to my e mail either. too busy pumping out smokewagons i guess.
cool site though....

look for a square box with letters or numbers or both in it and we can tell you when it was made.

well..the s/n is 3523 this is on all major parts. there is a box in the engraving on the left side of the frame but the numbers/letters are nearly unreadable (poorly struck) looks like ...."s marcc"
thanx

can't help. there would be two letters or a combination of numbers/letters in a small square but no more than two. Hopefully that doesn/s stand for armeeee san marco.

that would be bad cause....no parts, or possesed by demons?
so far uberti parts fit..

somebody on here knows where there are some parts. It is also possible to fit Uberti parts to the navy and army models-maybe the dragoons too. In general, ASM pistols have a pretty finish but are often assembled without any regard to the possibility that somebody may want to shoot them. Chamber mouths of different diameter and lock work parts dropped in with no fitting.
