Can Cops search your house with a warrant but without you being present?

Well said (both the last two posters...). That thorough explanation of why warrants are important was very well done... Since my retirement from police work in 1995 I've carefully stayed away from that world but any rookie at a Police Academy really benefits from a thorough and careful instruction in the legal side of what they'll be involved with on the street...

Compare that to the sad show at Congress we saw just recently where sworn officers acted like they were on the Jerry Springer show...

So they can if necessary, break your door down with force and search your house whatever it is they’re looking for and leave with a note on your door?

Not just Police either, the fire department can too.
