Can Hogue 1911 grips be made to fit on a Star BM? I was hoping I could get a hold of some rubber finger-groove 1911 grips made by Hogue and essentially cut off the extra length (if there is any) to get it to fit on my Star BM, does that sound like it'd work? Anybody know how different 1911 grips are compared to the Star BMs?

I seriously doubt they're compatible. Though the BM is similar to the 1911 in many respects, the profile of the grips is not exactly the same, which is what you'd need to get the the Hogue 1911 grips to work on your BM. As an alternative, Gun Grip Guys make some nice Star BM grips. I think they only produce wood grips, not rubber, but they look extremely nice.

I've actually got an unused set of Hogue finger groove 1911 grips that I got when I bought my 1911, do you want them? I have zero use for them, my hands are too small and I bought some Pachmayers (sp?) instead.
