1911 rubber hogue grips w/ finger grooves

I just replaced my 1911 Hogue rubber grips w/ finger grooves. I bought the new Hogue 2 pc checkered panels w/ diamond pattern around the screws. It feels more better w/ my normal size hands. Finger groove panels are thicker & uncomfortable to me. Any of you guys had the same problem ??

I have the Pachmyar(sp?) rubber grips with finger grooves on my 1911. I really like how they make the gun fit my hand better. They also help me maintain my shooting grip when my hands start getting sweaty.

My commander clone had rubber wrap around grips. I hated them. I went back to standard wood grips!!

Switched to the fingergroove Hogues.

Felt better, handled better in my meathooks. Although, someday I will get some Hakan grips and checker the frontstrap.

While I have not been to the range with my 1911 after adding the hogue grips, I like the way they feel better. My hands are a bit meaty, and the finger grooves feel better in my hand.
