Can I buy a rifle online, transfer to Texas as non-resident?

I live in Utah, although I'm staying in Texas for the summer currently. I want to buy a rifle online but I am not sure if I can transfer it to a FFL in this state and pick it up from here.
I know it is legal to buy a long gun as a non-resident (so long as it is legal for both state laws concerned)
But I am unsure if it is okay to have a online purchase transfered to Texas to pick up.
If not, then I should be able to order it anyway and shipped to my normal FFL in Utah and pick it up there within a few months when I return?

Transfers and in-person buys are no different. You should be able to do that transfer without a problem.

Perfectly legal.

And if you wish to have it sent to your Utah FFL for pickup in a few months, I'd highly recommend calling them first and arrange that with them.

Same with the FFL in Texas. Although legal some FFLs don’t want to deal with knowing the laws of other states and don’t do these types of sales.

Both of my FFLs said no.
Although I do feel like If I had signed on anyway they'd do it, they say no because if I have to ask
but it looks like I'll be sending it to Utah.

And on second note, I guess the purpose of this thread (So mods can close this if they see fit) is basically complete unless someone else has any other tidbit of information to add.
Anyone with FFL suggestions DM me.

Update: the sellers shipped it to the Utah FFL anyway. They're one of those automated sellers on GB where as soon as a purchase is made, it's handled by a different team. At least this is what I assume. Dogtown Tom was VERY helpful and it's a shame that we couldn't work out a transfer.
But at the least, when this month is over I can post pictures when I finally get my gun.

I could be wrong but I thought an FFL holder could transfer a rifle to a non-resident of his state only if that person was the resident of a contagious state...
