Can I remove the "Lady Smith" engraving?

Do you really care what is on the side of your revolver?
First) nobody is supposed to see a "concealed" revolver.
Second) the BG won't feel any better being shot with a LadySmith instead of a ManSmith.
Third) the LS designation is only a marketing tool to sell more revolver to women.
Forth) anyone who would actually laugh because your gun says LadySmith on the side needs to grow up.
Don't destroy a beautiful revolver because of pride. (or false pride)

Dude, it's a gun. anybody who has any self respect will respect the fact that you are wearing a .357Magnum.
Check with Smith & Wesson on the replacement sideplate. It's your gun, and if it's not perfect FOR YOU then do something about it. I wouldn't drive a pink truck, and I wouldn't like a Ladysmith either. If that makes me less of a man, so be it.
I wonder if any of these guys telling you to get over it have Ladysmiths themselves.

I carry mine whenever my G30 is not comfortable (crowds).
my fiance has a Saturn ION. I drive it everywhere... I'm also 6', 250 lbs. It's hard to mistake me for even an ugly woman.
A very good friend is 6', 240 lbs and drives a VW jetta. He says "I like the engineering...don't care about how it looks."
Don't let it bug you.... in fact, you could get a 'hello kitty' backpack to use as a range bag.

It's amazing me on the number of forums and the length of them over the "Lady Smith".
I've been packing one for well over 10 years. I'm 6'3" 290# Ex Marine. The thought of loosing my swinging parts over a really fine fire arms designation never crossed my mind.
I just have to laugh.
Strip it and send me the frame, I'll mill it out for you and polish the inset. Then you can take it to the local trophy shop and have ingraved with any thing you like.
Then magically the day after you carrry it for a minimum, of 4 hours, you'll wake up in the morning like old Johnny Holmes and the porn fairy will send you a contract to appear in the big'n movies with all kinds of babes.
All my favorite guns have pet names..... they are all female.
I'd much rather tell some one I had a Lady tucked in my pants than the alternative..............LOL
