Can the ammo situation get much worse?

Fine... Keep running around telling everybody the sky is falling. Just understand that any ammo shortage that does exist where you are, might just be because of you.

As for me? Well, me and Foxy Loxy are going shooting.;)
Yea its my fault. I caused a shortage by buying my 3 boxes of ammo, only one per caliber 3 times a week that is when any is in stock. Out of the 24 matches I would have shot up to this point I have only shot 2 of them. Of those two I quit halfway through to conserve ammo.

My loving wife came home yesterday from working at Wal-Mart with 2 boxes of Tula 7.62x39 and one box of Tula .223 , which she bought after work as she left. She is a good gal. Now I have been talking to the guys at WM, Dicks and other places and they all say the same thing. They just are not getting it in! The little they do get in is sold in short order. What really bothers me is that not one of them have been getting in .22 long rifle. The larger count boxes have not been seen since the first of the year ( wife brought home 3 boxes of 333 rounds first of the year :) So if the larger vendors like Wal Mart & Dicks Sporting Goods are not receiving .22 ammo , where the heck is it going?
On a side topic, sister in Air Force says that all their used brass is now destroyed and NOT sold to vendors. What a waist of the tax payer dollars and the nations resources!

^^my bet is they are going to the stores that have the most demand, according to the walmart databases...which probably means your walmart isn't one of those. I also see many people posting about clearing out the shelves as they are being restocked every night. have seen enough posts about how walmarts are beginning to restock to think that walmart ammo shortages are becoming more of a regional thing rather than nationwide.
Things arent going to get back to normal instantly, not with people still buying it as soon as it hits the shelves again. I dont see an ammo shortage, or a surge of ammo hitting the shelves. I see demand trickling off as people finally accumulate enough to satisfy their fears. The big stores are going to see a surge of buying once they get a semi regular supply, as people realize they can move away from gunbroker and gougers, and be patient to get pre panic prices
