Can you ID this gun

Looks like an M2HB with an added stock extension and a scope. I certainly wouldn't want to fire it with that scope pressed against my eye like that.

Don't think it's a Browning. The M2 generally loads belts from the left side of the receiver. I have to go with the KORD.

The M2 can be adapted to feed from the left or the right, Zoom.

It's in the manual: http://m2hb.net/manuals/fm23_65.pdf

Newer variants can also operate in single shot (must manually press the bolt release to chamber next round after firing) or full auto when there's a buffer/stock extension installed as in the OP's picture. They're even shipping safeties to some Marine units to be installed in the field, though I haven't got any additional info on whether the safeties are actually being used or not. The rate of fire is variable. That's definitely a Browning M2 though. Newer variants also did away with the "butterfly trigger" and employ a squeeze trigger mounted on the grips.

I may be incorrect, as the OP's picture shows a similar brass deflector/belt guide to the KORD, but M2's can be fitted with a deflector that looks just like that.

You guys got me, my current production FA weapon knowledge is lacking as I tend to keep my attention on things I can legally acquire (no matter the hoops I have to jump through!). Good job picking it out, it really does look a lot like the newer variant M2HB though.

Yeah, I was aware of that (which is why I said "generally") but I've rarely seen it done except for aircraft installations. The main thing that didn't look right for an M2 is the second tube under the barrel.

I have three belt-feds, but none of them are over 30 cal. Would love to be able to play with one like this!

Zoom: I'd love to play with one myself, but only if someone else was buying the ammo... at $5/shot I'd go into debt after half a belt!

I bet it's pretty recoil friendly. You have to realize that it's probably 120+ pounds with the gun and trip.

Edit: It's actually a little more than 80lbs, but that's still a lot of mass to move.

Definatly not a M2, another thing that shows that its a Russian MG is the left side feed, and the VSS rifle in the backround.
