I know the Lee factory crimp die is popular. I like them myself, others don't care of them, but they do what they are billed to do.

However, I think for this price, I'll stick to seating and crimping in the same step. This is more than I paid for my Breech Lock Challenger (new).

As quoted from the ad on the above auction:

Overcome the Factory Ammo Accuracy Advantage!

Now that is just BS, all my handloads, "factory crimped" or not, are just as accurate or more accurate in my guns than any factory ammo I have tried in the same guns. Gotta love the auction site wheeling and dealing!

I don't like them, so no worries for me. :D

I'll stick with plain old crimp dies and seater/crimpers.

I am actually afraid if people this #%##$ing stupid are really reloading. They will end up killing themselves or someone else and it will give reloading a bad name. :banghead:

I started using the FCD when I got my LCT and had a fourth station and nothing to do with it. I could just have as easily used just a regular crimp die in station 4 or a seat/crimp die with the seater backed out, but Lee dies are generally cheaper than other brands of crimp only dies. So, I started using the FCD, and so far I haven't seen any of the adverse effects others have experienced (I load almost exclusively lead bullets). I'm happy with the FCD.

However, given the current nuttiness, its cheaper to buy a whole Lee three die set and use the seat/crimp die in station four. Then perhaps one could sell the spare sizer and powder through expander on eBay for a profit.

It would actually be cheaper to buy the WHOLE 4 die set. You can buy the FCD for about $15
