Problem for me. I live in Fla, we have cold floors maybe 3 months out of the year. Maybe.

I keep a gun or 2 next to my bed. My town is decent crime wise, but random home invasions and robberies do happen.

I live near the interstate and have several motels on the main road that have sketchy and transient people staying in them. Awhile back one of them robbed the 711 and then walked back across the street to the motel Where he was staying.

I live in a large and very rural county with minimal sheriff's department coverage,(and too much meth etc.), plus coons and coyotes, so there are guns kept handy at all times.
