I have the SAR 4.5" 16+1 polymer-framed, SA/DA B6P.
I wanted a cheap gun to keep in my car. I purchased the pistol for a total of $241.43 from Sportsman Guide. I've put mixed magazines of Perfecta, WWB, Blazzer Brass, Federal Aluminum, ZQI 123gr "NATO" Wolf 115gr steel-cased ammo and Tula BrassMaxx through it, haven't cleaned between range trips and it just runs like a champ.
I purchased a 19rd Mec-Gar CZ 75 mag for my SAR and it did work, although I had to give the mag a good slap to get it to seat. A few seconds with a Dremel on the magazine cutout and now it seats easily and its still secure.
There are a few minor irritating things about the gun that I don't like. One of them is just the contour of the frame. They use 3/8" of polymer in places on the frame and they lay on extra polymer around the steel inserts where the rails ride.
If I try to get a high grip on the gun, the squarish polymer block in the back irritates the inside of my thumb of my shooting hand and the block of extra polymer just forward of the slide stop makes it hard to really snug the thumb of my non-shooting hand up against the frame for a thumbs-forward position.
The real CZs aren't like that..
