Picked this up at the local Sportsman's today. New TP9SF ("Special Forces"?). Not exactly a SIG or HK, but should be a fun range gun and they seem to get glowing reviews. I have one of those tan Glock field knives that I was going to put into the picture to, you know, project an aura of fearsome tactical competence but I figured that was a bit much.

Me: I think I'll take that tan TP9SF

Counter Guy: Well, we're only supposed to sell those Desert "SF" versions to actual GreenBeretPararescueSEALRangerCommandos. Do you have any documentation in that regard?

Me: I've seen "Commando", "The Green Berets", and "Predator" multiple times.

Counter Guy: Sold!

My two Caniks are the SA and V2 models, but both are rock solid with zero failures so far. I'm sure you will enjoy yours, Commando Slater.

It looks like perfectly good modern firearm which probably costs less than same stuff from: H&K, Glock, Walther or S&W to name a few. As long as there is service and parts available I would take advantage of it. They have good military and provide them with very good small arms. I think AR-24 is actually better than CZ75 it closely resembles. You may also like Turkish fig preserves, pomegranate juice, wool rugs and leather goods.

Mmmm, fig preserves.

I've beat the crap out of my TP9, it's been 100% glitch free.

I am waiting on a TP9 SFx to show up. I have drooled over one of these, but that is way too much money.
Truth told those plastic-framed guns designed in Russia and made in Italy were never worth what they retailed for and that is why almost nobody bought them. I do not understand why you want one, but now that rumor is they aren't going to import them many will want one. I do not understand this mindset. If older model car is upgraded or discontinued buyers aren't flocking to them and paying more. Why do gun owners do the opposite?

There are plenty of experts that said these were ok. It kind of shows you how the competition overcharges poorly informed gun buyers what they sell them. All plastic framed gun is a tool just like hammer or pliers. What I'm saying is when it comes to gun business and gun buying public "faith sell mounds of inventory".

My SA has quickly replaced all my other guns as both a CCW and a service weapon (G security). Everytime I hit the range I have people asking to try my Canik and half of them walk away with intentions of buying. I predict in less than 3 years this gun will be $600.00 easy. Better get one while they are still cheap. I intend to pick up the SFx soon.

Salient Arms will be making the Arsenal Strike One pistols.

lol. Good stuff. With my old eyes I am holding out for the sfx so I can mount a red dot easily.

It made me laugh. Congrats on the new pistol.

Do you notice extra rubbed off tan paint on the barrel hood when you rack the slide? My new one was doing it pretty good.
