Can't find an AR

I was surprised to see a row of AR's still for sale at our LGS. But of course, the lower priced ones were all sold out. I also 2 buyers walking out with 2 new AR's.

My buddy's dad has his FFL and lives in Dallas Tx. He called seven of his wholesalers and they all told him the same thing, not a single assault rifle in stock including .22 cal.

Try to find a magazine for your AR. All the normal online places are sold out.

Should have bought before the last election, we knew it was coming.

Ar's are still available in many of the stores here but they are selling like hot cakes.

Even if you can find the rifle, your gonna have a hard time getting ammo(or components for that matter) id be looking hard at any other 223 carbines out there if you can find one

All I had left was 4 pre ban colts and a windham weaponry on wed. 3 new in the box 1991 colts were bought by the someone on weds afternoon and someone bought the last two this mourning. lots of pistols left but I could not count the calls on folks wanting ar's and the such.

They still had plenty over here in west central Louisiana yesterday at the LGS, but were selling them fast, bougt one on Monday at a different local sporting goods store, they were down to the last 3, all the same model mil spec tacticoolized AR's at $1,189 each (competitive price, same model was selling at $1,150 mail order last week), the cheaper bushmasters, etc are the ones that are getting hard to find, if you want the $1,100 S&W or the $1,500 SIG's there are still ones to be found.

Got a confirmation today one I bought Monday night has shipped. I tried to call the place everyday but never got an answer. Then I checked the online order lookup and saw the Fedex tracking number. They called soon after to confirm. Got a 6920 magpul for $1249. They have nothing left in stock as of today.

Banjo, you might be able to find one for sale privately. Maybe you could try placing an ad in the local paper. Do you have to have an AR? I've never had the urge to own one. I do have an AK and several cases of ammo. Would a SKS fill your needs until the current silliness calms down?

Screw it, buy an AK47 or HK rifle.

With the gun haters and the media demonizing the AR the way they have ,the irony is that the only thing they have accomplished is to make AR's sell like hotcakes.
And in all the AR frenzy, everyone forgot about the trusty old AK 47 which is more powerful, cheaper to buy, and history has shown, has killed more people worldwide than the AR ever did in it's entire history.

It is funny how there's no AR's anywhere to be found, but AK's, SKS's and Saigas still sit on the shelf waiting their turn to be bought.

I'm just saying,...............

AKs are pretty much gone also. A lot of the little bit you can still find have almost doubled in price.

One notable exception as of right now.

KVAR Corp.: NIB, SGL21, black poly, $939.00. It aint cheap, but these Arsenals never were. About $100.00 over where they were not that long ago.

Aw hell,

Forget all this assault gun crap.

I still got my trusty Cimarron Model 1873 rifle and Model P revolver.

Lets go back to the Old West days where accuracy and marksmanship ruled and not guns that have you spraying lead all over the place.

Of course, then people might start complaining of "assault" lever action rifles and "assault" single action revolvers. :p
