Canted reticle question

Thanks all for your opinions. I did take the advice of some of you and contacted Bushnell. To my surprise, they said they would honor the warranty. (The scope is NIB, but probably 10 years old, although it did come with a lifetime warranty from Simmons.)
So it's on its way back to Bushnell, postage-paid.
Thanks again

Life’s too short to dick around with a canted reticle in a Simmons scope (or any scope for that matter) You’re doing the right thing sending it back. What you’ll get will be better....and still be free!

I had a OLD non sealed J.C. Higgins 6x .22lr scope rigged to a 581.
Taking her outta my a/c cooled truck out into the hot monsoon air to hunt rabbits. Boom condensation on both sides of both lenses.

Thankfully it was easy to disassemble and wipe.
Kinda solved it with judicious use of Teflon tape, fine beads of superglue around the lenses and reassembly in a zip lock bag full of Co2.

Only fogged minimally after that and I learned non sealed scopes are a pain in the butt.

To my surprise, they said they would honor the warranty.

Not to mine.

I’m glad you followed through and let Bushnell do what they do. Folks talk all of the time about Leupold or Vortex and their “best customer service in the industry,” but I can tell you, Bushnell does it as good or better than most - and most do it damned well.
