i have been having some trouble lately, i cannot get caps to fire in my Remington rider pistol. i have been using plastic ones so i decided to try some Remington #10 caps. a few months ago i got some CCI #11 caps and those did not go off reliably. any suggestions? i have tried cleaning it thoroughly and oiling the action but that didn't do anything for me. any advice would be appreciated.

Busyhands94,
This same issue was raised in another thread. At first I replied that maybe the nipple was at fault. But then I did some research and found that other folks had the same problem with their Rider pistols that were also purchased from Dixie.
One fellow attributed it to a problem with the receiver. So he requested a new receiver from Pedersoli which they sent to him and it resolved his entire cap problem.
I urge you to read my previous post and to consider contacting them about how long you've had the problem. Sending them a letter might even be better then email since that may be more personal than if it originated from a computer keyboard. Then the letter can be followed up with emails if necessary. It may take a month or two or more for them to respond since a lot of Europeans take much longer vacations than most Americans do.

But if you do find that it's only the nipple then ask Dixie if they have a replacement. Could the nipple be too short, or the hammer spring too weak or is there something interfering with the hammer?

If all else fails then consider contacting a Pedersoli repair facility directly:
