Don't break into Carrie Underwood's house.

The American Idol winner-turned country sensation moved into a Williamson County home a year or so ago, and Carrie told WSIX morning man Gerry House there's a handgun at her place.

Seems Mr. Underwood bought Carrie a Baretta for protection.

Carrie wasn't thrilled with the idea at first, but her dad made her fire it so she could get used to handling it.

"I'm actually a pretty good shot," Carrie said.

Great!

"But I do it with my eyes closed."

Oh. Not great.

By the way, intruders aren't safe if Carrie runs out of bullets. The singer says she she's very handy with a baseball bat and she keeps plenty around the house.

She's just a pile of contradictions, the vegetarian country singer daughter of a cattle farmer who owns a gun.

But BOY HOWDY is she stunning from head to toe.

I was vegetarian for a long time

And totally pro gun.
Just becuase I'm not the great white hunter doesn't mean
I've no interest in freedom, life liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

I'm not a vegetarian anylonger, but if done right it can
be a very healthy diet.

she's plastered all over the peta rag every issue and hopefully we all know
how extremist peta and the humane society has become toward hunters and
sports shooters. i don't care if the playmate of the year buys a gun, if they don't support gun owners rights then its just a public relations gimmick.....

What about Katharine McPhee?

Shes from Kali, Sherman Oaks.

Im a BIG kat fan btw!

The article says she lives in Williamson County. Is that Williamson County, Texas or somewhere else? Does anyone know?

I have no idea who Carrie Underwood is. Granted I do not personally own a TV, but that is beside the point.

Someone else is taking personal responsibility. Great! It does not matter to me, who they are, what they look like, what they eat, don't like to eat, if they are famous or not, rich or poor or anthing else. I do not care what kind of gun, the mfg of gun, caliber of gun or type of ammo in the gun.

Someone else getting the mindset to take personal responsibilty for themselves to me is the big deal here.

Not having a TV means I have one less something to dust, and gives me more time to do something productive.

a few celebs off the top of my head that support the 2nda,
tom selleck
reba
paul sorvino
jess walton (young & the restless)

I think she moved to Tennessee - Nashville or Memphis is there a Williamson cty there?

Was she from Oklahoma or Alabama? One of those contestants father was in Prison so he shouldn't be able to buy a handgun? Maybe not her father tho.

Agree Kat is hotter, but I dont think she really likes guns.

I wanna go out with Kat.

15. How can you be associated with PETA since you grew up in rural Oklahoma? They do not like livestock shows, rodeos, hunting and fishing. These are the activities that define us as Oklahomans.

That's a good question. I don't think those things define us as Oklahomans. I think that the way that we are in our personality and in the morals that we have, I think that defines us Oklahomans. Livestock is definitely a big deal in Oklahoma. A lot of my friends were in FFA and stuff like that growing up. ... I just choose not to eat animals. That's it. I'm not really associated with PETA. If they're doing a spay-or-neuter campaign, I'm all for it. I'm not really for so many radical things. I think there's just an easier way. I don't preach to others about it. This is just the way I am. If you were sitting there next to me, eating a steak right now, I wouldn't say anything about it because that's your choice, just like it's my choice not to eat it.

That's what she said during a CMT interview posted here.
