Carry advice for a BUG

My girlfriend is going to be working the late shift at the hospital she works at. Because she wears scrubs, carrying a .32 Guardian size pistol is out of the question. I suggested purse carry, but am unshure what typy of holster to get her. A pocket holster wouldn't hold in a purse, and with the 300+ things a woman carries in get purse, loose carry wouldn't work. Other than the purse with the hidden compartment, any ideas? Thanks.

The kel tec p32 is small and flat enough to carry with scrubs.

Seems like an easy way to have a gun snatched from you. I doubt her purse is going to be in her view at all times. Not only that, but she'd have to retrieve the gun if someone begins attacking her? If I could not fit a mouse gun in my pocket I probably wouldn't even carry. Like he said, try the P-32.

EDIT:Actually, Exmasonite is on to something. She could easily carry via ankle and then gun would always be in reach, and wouldn't get stolen. That's the way I'd go

Smart Carry.

She can carry under her scrubs, and can get away with a bigger gun than the Guardian if she wants.

I dont wear scrubs, but I use one for my Seecamp and it works great.

There are places my wife cannot cc her Seecamp LWS32, and in situations like that she falls back on her "Small Fry" Stun gun with a million volts of "let me go" power... It's about the size of a small cell phone, has an on/off switch/test mode/rechargeable w/lifetime warranty...

She just charges it bi-monthly and it's always ready when she is.

Not a lethal weapon, but a nice option when carrying a firearm is not possible.

Retails for around $85, available on ebay for around $44. (incld shipping/handling charger/case).

Just another choice.

Hospital Carry

Two things.

Check to make sure she is "legal" to carry at work. Some places its a no-no. They are making it doubly difficult here in the sunshine state...its illegal to carry in the hospital...and they now want to make it off limits in parking lots.

Personally...I would rather be judged by 12 than carried by 6. One of the reasons I carry now. Its a personal decision, though.

There are several shoulder type rigs that work. Plenty of room under scrubs...and distribute the weight nicely for a 8, 10 or 12 hour shift on your feet.

A "belly band" is an option too. Remind her that scrub tops don't need to be tucked in.

Lastly is a fanny pack. It may scream "gun" on the street...but may folks wear them in the hospital to carry all of their work "stuff". It would fit right in.

I am an LEO and a respiratory therapist. My on-duty BUG is a Kel-tec P3AT, when I'm working in the hospital it is my primary because it is the only thing I can hide in scrubs. I use the pocket clip and have the gun clipped inside the waistband on my weak side and a Benchmade HK auto knife opposite (same as I carry in uniform). I carry a spare mag in my shirt pocket.

I would recommend either ankle carrya S&W 442 or a Taser in a jacket pocket

+1 on SmartCarry. I'm not a big guy at all, and I can conceal much bigger guns than a Guardian in my slacks. If I wore scrubs at work, I'd probably carry a Howitzer. As long as it's legal, she should be able to carry whatever she wants at the hospital.
