My department requires that Officers off duty carry be able to fire double action, hae been approached by some with questions on Para's-LDA version. Looking for opinons here

Ok....Ill jump in here :D What kind of opinions are you looking for?
The LDA's are first rate. At first they were shunned by the 1911 community....the usual hardcore stuff..resistance to change...(relax 1911 guys...I hate change too :D ) Anyway..theyve proven thus far to be a very very good firearm.
Many shooters think they have the best trigger available..
Shootwell

I second the comments. I carry a C7-45 LDA daily. I used to be a dedicated S&W Semi-auto man since I always liked the ability to carry hammer down with a round up the spout. There was just something disconcerting about cocked anmd locked carry IWB. Thw LDA fills the bill and the trigger really is the best Ive ever found on a double action pistol. It gives me 8 rounds 7plus one The only down side is the weight. If you are used to an alloy pistol, the all stainless construction of the 7-45 is going to feel heavy at first. After a week you wont even notice it. First class piece of machinery

Trying to bulid a base of opinons so I can go to the Chief and say its a good rig and falls with in the guide lines,How many rounds have you all put through them, and did you have to do any thing to them to feed hollow points if thats what you carry.

Sorry about the lack of info on the reliability of the C7-45.
I have been shooting it once or twice a week averaging 150-200 rds.per. I have had it for just under a year and have found it to be 100 percent reliable with WW 155gr. Silvertips. Haven' found anything it won't feed . The only thing I notice is that it is not fond of high primers. I reload and every now and then one slips by my inspection and where my Springfield loaded would fire it, the Para will not. Not a reflection on the pistol, just on my reloads.

Ive shot one and liked it alot. Ive handled a couple of others and just like the way they feel. The one I shot, handled as well as any other nice 1911 style ..Kimber, SA etc.
+P's are a little snappy but thats the tradeoff....Shoot well
