This subject has come up a few times lately...Do you carry at home??
Well I've been out of work(sick) for 2 months, and I was glad I was home last week when this happened.
My wife works out of our house(she dose nails)...I was in the living room watching TV.I all of the sudden I hear a male voice...I quickly get up and see a youngish guy hanging in my front door(which my wife has a bad habit of leaving open). Now neither my wife, her customer or I heard this guy's truck come up the driveway. He's asking for directions, which is kind of weird because you can't see our house from the road.So I'm standing in the dining room at this point with my SP101 drawn but at my side behind my thigh. The guy got his directions and left, after turning to see me standing in the dining room.....was he a bad guy??I don't know, but if he was and I wasn't armed ,because I was sick he would've had the upper hand...when we discussed it later my wife said she was scared ,until she saw me standing in the dining room(she knows I always carry when legal)....lesson learned...you never know...we live in the woods,no crime, hardly even any people...but there he was in my doorway at like 2:00 in the afternoon...also reinforces my belief that my wife needs her permit.....

SP-101 comes off floor by bed on rising .. spends the day totally in its ''home'' on hip ... until again relegated to floor by bed at night.

IMO - the only way to carry .... and that is for most part in and around home.

No one has yet successfully described to me a process for making appointments for emergencies or crises!!:)

Shhh!!! Don't tell my parents!

IMO, home is the most important place to have access to a weapon.

I do agree the home is the most important place to carry. However boxers and beretta dont mix. I dont have any kids yet and I am not the entertaining kinda guy (though my wife is) so its a well known fact if you see a gun in my house it is loaded and unsafe. Have one on my computer stand one in the bathroom 2 in my bedroom and one shoved in the couch wich is next to the door. I always keep my door shut and locked and the curtains drawn (till my wife comes home then I follow behind her and close everything again). I figure when we have kids I will have to carry in the house but for now I feel I am addequatly (sp) prepared.

How about, maybe locking the front door? You'll both get alot more warning if they have to kick the door in rather than just turning the handle.
