Cast bullets+ Redding Comp. seating die= trouble?

Can you use a Redding competition bullet seater with cast bullets? I heard that because the lead bullets are usually .001" bigger, that it doesnt work in this close tolerance seater. Any help would be appreciated. Im looking to load 454 Casull and 41 magnum with cast bullets. Thanks-

You heard wrong. Call Redding on the phone to get the straight info. You may need to get an extra seating plug depending on your bullets. I use their comp seasting die in .38spl & .357mag with lead bullets and jacketed.
